To import products manually from Sage 50 Accounts into Tradebox:
- Go to the Products section in Tradebox.
- Click on the Actions drop down button.
-
Select Import Products.
4. From the Source drop down menu choose Accounts.
5. If you want to update any existing product records in Tradebox with any changes made to products in Sage 50, tick the box for Update Existing Records.
6. Ignore Inactive Products can be set if you have inactive products in Sage that you don't want to be imported into Tradebox.
7. Once you've made your selections, click OK to proceed to the next screen.
8. Select the Sage Company from the Company Drop down menu.
9. Ensure that the Data Path to the Sage data EXACTLY matches the data path in the Sage 50 Accounts you want to import the product records from.
10. Provide an existing Sage username and password; we suggest using TBUSER, which you'll have previously set up.
11. Click OK. This part of the process can take some time, but it's fine to leave it running unattended.
12. At the end of the import, Tradebox will pop up the following message box:
Tradebox uses the following default tax codes from Sage 50 and automatically maps them to the tax codes in Tradebox as follows:
| Sage Tax Code | Tradebox Tax Code |
| T0 | Zero Rated |
| T1 | Standard Rated |
| T5 | Reduced Rate |
If you use any other tax codes in Sage other than the above Sage 50 defaults (T0, T1 & T5) the products in Tradebox may not have the correct tax setting.
