Stock level upload time to Amazon Merchant accounts can be drastically reduced by updating the Amazon Product Mapping table in Tradebox with the products that are actually listed on Amazon. Doing this means that Tradebox only attempts to upload stock levels to Amazon that are actually listed on Amazon, rather than all SKU's listed in the mapping table.
Updating the Amazon product mapping table can be done in the PRODUCTS module by clicking on the Actions button and choosing Import Products and the selecting your Amazon Merchant account from the drop down list.
This action allows Tradebox to download an inventory file from Amazon which simply contains the Merchant SKU and the Amazon ASIN number. Tradebox then does the following:
- Compares the Merchant SKU's in the downloaded inventory file against the existing Marketplace SKU's in the Amazon Product Mapping table in Tradebox.
- If the Merchant SKU in the downloaded inventory file exists in the Amazon Product Mapping table in Tradebox, the 'Listed' field in the Tradebox mapping is marked as "True".
- If the Merchant SKU in the downloaded inventory file does NOT exist in the Amazon Product Mapping table in Tradebox, the 'Listed' field in the Tradebox mapping is marked as "False".
- Only SKU's in the Amazon Product Mapping table in Tradebox where the 'Listed' field is equal to "True" are then eligible for upload
For the avoidance of doubt, Tradebox does NOT:
- Create any product records in Tradebox from the downloaded Amazon inventory file.
- Create any product mapping records in Tradebox from the downloaded Amazon inventory file.
All Products imported from accounts software are automatically created in the Amazon Product Mapping table with the 'Listed' field marked as "True".
