This article explains how to configure the import of orders into Tradebox based on the order date. This configuration is typically used to stop orders importing into Tradebox when moving channels or accounting systems.
The import of orders into a specified channel can be controlled in the channel configuration. To access a channel's configuration, go to the channel list and double click on the channel. This will open the channel settings on the DETAILS tab.
Within the Details Tab are settings to, "Ignore Orders Dated Prior To" and "Ignore Orders Dates After":
Ignore Orders Dated Prior to: This control allows the user to configure Tradebox to ignore any transactions prior to a given date preventing orders that fall before this date from being downloaded into Tradebox. In the above example, Tradebox has been configured to ignore all order prior to 01/01/2026. This means only orders with an order date of 01/01/2026 onwards will be allowed to be downloaded from this specific channel.
This control would typically be implemented when you first start using Tradebox to import from a specific channel to prevent Tradebox downloading orders that you may have already downloaded and accounted for.
Ignore Orders Dated After: This control allows the user to configure Tradebox to only download orders up to a certain date and prevent any orders downloading after that date. In the above example, only orders dated up to and including the 30/04/2026 will be allowed to be imported into Tradebox for this specific channel.
This control would usually be used where certain settings would apply up to a specific date, and different settings after that date, for example, the date you become VAT registered.
