Microsoft launched security update KB4484119 for Office 2013 on November 12th 2019. This contains a known bug which affects Microsoft Access Database Engines and has subsequently caused issues for Tradebox users who have Microsoft Office 2013 installed on their PC.
The Microsoft update prevents the Access Database Engines writing data back to the Tradebox database. This prevents users accessing modules such as the Order List in Tradebox and also causes duplication in integrated accounts packages as the acknowledgement that the order had already been passed to the accounts package cannot be written back to the Tradebox database.
To resolve the issue please do the following:
- Open Task Manager and ensure all Tradebox processes are closed. These are:
- Tradebox V1.exe
- Tradebox_Service.exe
- Tradebox_Application_service. exe
- Then go to the Tradebox Installation Folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Tradebox\Tradebox and locate and run a file called AccessDatabaseEngine.exe
- Allow this file to run then open Tradebox. Check that you can access the orders module.
