When you first install Tradebox, you will choose which PC you want the Tradebox Data Service to run on, but as time goes on you may wish to change this.
This involves simply unticking the Run on this Machine box in Configuration -> Data Service on your current service PC and either accepting the prompt that will appear on the new service PC, or re-ticking the same box on the new service PC.
You should untick the Run on this Machine box on your service PC before:
- getting rid of the service PC
- changing the PC name
- moving the program to a new PC rather than networking it.
Once the box is unticked, when you restart Tradebox on any machine it will give you the following message:
Click Yes to start the service running on the new machine. If Tradebox is networked, you should only select 'Yes' to this message when it appears on the machine you want the service to run on.
If you move the Tradebox data prior to unticking the Run on this machine box, then you can use the Reset Service PC option on this page to allow the Tradebox service to run on the new PC:
Before doing this, please ensure Tradebox is disabled or uninstalled from the original PC, as allowing the service to run on two separate machines will cause duplication of orders.
