Tradebox One features a number of options for tracking your own notes, and those entered by your customers on the marketplace.
Channel Order Message
The Notes tab of the order contains the Channel Order Message. This is downloaded directly from the marketplace based from the following fields:
- Amazon – Gift message
- eBay – Buyer checkout message
- BigCommerce – Customer order comment
- EKM – Order notes
- Magento 1 – Gift message
- Magento 2 - Customer order note
- Any other channels that import from a CSV file take this from the Message field as mapped in the Import File > Field Mapping tab of the sales channel.
In the order list, Tradebox will display Y in the MSG column next to any order which has a Channel Order Message. The Channel Order Message will also print on the default invoice layout in Tradebox and on the Order Packing List.
Order Notes
The Notes tab of each order gives the option to add as many of your own notes as you need. Think of these as memos that are purely internal to Tradebox One, as they won’t be surfaced on invoices, included in export of orders or passed to your accounts package. They can be edited and deleted.
Messages and notes for Sage
The Channel Order Message can be added as a message line to the invoices or sales orders that are posted to Sage. To enable this, go to Channels > Edit > Sage 50 > Postings and then tick the box for Add Message Line.
There are also another two places in Sage that Tradebox can post a message to if you don't want to add a message line to the order itself.
These are the Notes and Custom Analysis fields which appear on the Order tab of the invoice/sales order. Both of these field types are split into three: Notes 1, 2 and 3 and Analysis 1,2 and 3, allowing Tradebox to post up to 6 different pieces of information into these fields depending on your requirements. You can set this up within each channel by going to Sage 50 > Fields and choosing your preferred options from the Invoice/Order - Notes and Invoice/Order - Custom Fields drop downs.
Messages and notes for Xero
Messages can be added as a line to an invoice in Xero by ticking the Add Message Line box in the Postings section of the Xero accounts link within Tradebox.
