Tradebox Logs

From Tradebox Version 2.0.260922.0, there are 3 logs within the Tradebox application that are designed to provide insight into what the software is doing and what problems it may have encountered. These logs are called:

  • Process Log
  • Orders Log
  • Issues Log

Each of these logs is accessible by clicking on the log title in the top right-hand corner of the software:

The Process Log

The Process Log records all of the process (or tasks) the software runs through. This is called a Data Service Loop. The Tradebox Service starts the data service loops, completes all of the tasks it has been assigned and then completes the Data Service Loop. The Tradebox Data Service then reboots and the process starts again.

The FIND button allows you to search the log for any phrase or word. Use this to search for a SKU or an order number.

The REFRESH button allows you to refresh the screen and update the Process Log.

The Orders Log

The Order Log displays information about specific orders that have been placed into an order status of QUERY. The query issue will be displayed against each order.

The PRODUCT MAPPING ISSUES button will open the product mapping table and allow you to address product mapping issues directly.

Selecting an order from the list and then choosing the VIEW ORDER button will open the order record.

The REFRESH button allows you to refresh the screen and update the Process Log.

The Issues Log

The Issues Log is probably the most critical of logs in terms of understanding why a process isn’t working in Tradebox. Typically, this log will present the answer to 99% of all issues you may encounter. Providing relevant entries from this log to support will save you a lot of time getting to a resolution.

Once an issue has been resolved (like the payment method being mapped), the issue will stop appearing in the log. The date/Time stamp is therefore an important component when reading the log.

The FIND button allows you to search the log for any phrase or word. Use this to search for a SKU or an order number.

The REFRESH button allows you to refresh the screen and update the Process Log.
